Temecula’s annual Community Christmas Dinner, presented by local Rotary clubs and the city of Temecula, will be served between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Christmas Day at the Mt. San Jacinto College Cafe on the college’s Temecula Valley campus.
Members of local Rotary clubs will serve the free dinner that is open to everyone in the community. The menu includes ham, turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables and dessert.
“The Community Christmas Dinner brings people from the community together who want to share the joy and spirit of Christmas,” Mark Sitar, chairman of the event, said in a news release. “This is not a soup kitchen for the unfortunate, although everyone is welcome. This is for anyone who wants a place to go on Christmas Day. It is a simple concept that touches people throughout our community.
“It is the holiday spirit that is important. The warm atmosphere filled with laughter and stories frompast years goes around each table. Santa Claus passes out presents to the children and pictures are taken with Santa and the children. Tips are refused, but hugs and handshakes are always welcome,” Sitar said in the news release.
The Mt. San Jacinto College Cafe is at 41888 Motor Car Parkway, Building A, Temecula. Those attending the dinner should enter from Margarita Road.
