The Cult

Bow Wow
While Ohio-based rapper Bow Wow hasn’t released a solo album since 2009, he’s still actively performing and releasing singles sporadically. War
Last year the Long Beach-born funk, rock, soul and Latin music influenced group War re-released their fifth album, “The World Is a Ghetto” which was the best-selling album in America in 1973 and went triple platinum. Grupo Firme
Grupo Firme is on its La Última Peda tour and despite the confusion the group caused with the title (which roughly translates to the “last drunk party”), it is not retiring or going anywhere. The band’s most recent hit “Chula” was a collaboration with Demi Lovato and showcases the act’s willingness to blend different genres, in this case, pop and regional Mexican music. 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at Yaamava Resort & Casino, 777 San Manuel Blvd., Highland. Jay Leno

The Los Angeles based group Steel Panther is carrying the torch of the ’80s hair metal scene. Iliza Shlesinger

Elle King
