8 acts coming to Southern California casinos in November

November is almost upon us, which means Southern California casinos have already started announcing their holiday shows, including one this month with Mariah Carey. Other events include rock performances, stand-up comedy and a live game show seen on TV.

Everclear

Portland, Oregon-based band Everclear is on tour celebrating 30 years of music. Frontman Art Alexakis spoke to Southern California News Group in October 2022 about their 12-track demo debut, “World of Noise,” which led to the group’s formation. 8 pm Friday, Nov. 1, at Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City, 32-250 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage. $50. 68960 E. Marlon Wayans

The actor, comedian, writer and producer is known for his slapstick humor in sitcoms “The Wayans Brothers” and “In Living Color.” He’s also done comedy films like “Scary Movie,” “Scary Movie 2” and “White Chicks.” The stand up took a more serious tone for his latest comedy special. “Good Grief,” released on Amazon Prime Video in June, which used humor to cope with the loss of the (almost 60) loved ones he lost in the span of three years, including his parents. El Fantasma

El Fantasma, who had an underground following for his catchy corridos, is now enjoying the rising popularity of Mexican regional music on the Billboard charts. Mariah Carey

In 1994, singer Mariah Carey released the album “Merry Christmas,” which included “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” unleashing a slew of holiday-related shows that have become a yearly tradition for the star. If you haven’t caught one of Carey’s holiday performances, give yourself that present this year. Lewis Black

Stand-up comedian, actor and longest-running correspondent for Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” Lewis Black, is on his Goodbye Yeller Brick Road tour, bidding farewell to his stand-up days. Black’s comedy style has long been characterized by his angry rants about politics, religion and cultural trends. Cruz Show’s Funny Fiesta with Los Toxicos

Frankie Quiñones is an actor and comedian who rose to notoriety after his Cholofit videos, where he satirizes cholo culture, went viral on social media. The Price is Right Live

If you’ve ever wanted to try your luck on the iconic daytime television show “The Price is Right,” you can compete in Temecula.
