Man gunned down in San Bernardino intersection; murder suspect in custody

A man was shot to death in a San Bernardino intersection early Friday, Jan. 24, and a San Bernardino resident was in custody.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at North H Street and West 13th Street around 2:15 a.m. and found a man with several gunshot wounds, police said on Monday, Jan. 27. The victim, whose name had not been released, was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The next day, Marco Napoles, 22, was arrested at 4:23 p.m. at Sterling Avenue and 5th Street, according to the county jail log. He was booked into Central Detention Center in San Bernardino on suspicion of murder and was being held without the possibility of bail.

No motive for the shooting was released by officials.
