This summer has seen a surge in value deals from major fast food chains, led by McDonald’s with its $5 and $6 Meal Deal.
Inland eateries are also getting into the act with value prices and special menu items. Here is a sampling of what’s out there.

Baker’s Drive-Thru: There are a lot of limited time offers to choose from. Six budget meals priced $5.99-$7.99 include two or three items such as tacos, burritos and fries, plus a drink. There is also a $1.99 drink deal with iced lattes, iced coffees, floats and aguas frescas. And there is a Fiesta Street Tacos Combo with chicken or steak tacos, chips and salsa and agua fresca for $8.99. bakersdrivethru.com
Cowboy Burgers & BBQ: This Riverside drive-thru at 5573 Arlington Ave. has a “Cowboy Jr. Meal” it calls a kids meal for all ages. It includes the choice of a Jr. Angus Cheeseburger, a barbecued beef sandwich, a side, small drink and cookie for $7.95. The other Cowboy Burgers location, In Rancho Cucamonga, has a different menu. 951-977-9454.
Farmer Boys: The Riverside-based chain is selling a BBQ Crunch Cheeseburger Box for $9.99. It includes a burger with two kinds of American cheese, barbecue sauce, onion straws and pickles, fries and a soft drink. Other limited time offers include strawberry lemonade for $3.99 and iced coffee with vanilla cold foam for $4.99. farmerboys.com
Miguel’s Jr.: Limited-time offers include a Pumpkin Pie Horchata. The Corona-based chain is also teasing a new line of bowls in a Facebook reel.
R Burgers: Five items are available for $4 each 2-5 p.m. Monday through Friday. They include a cheeseburger, crispy chicken sandwich, four crunch tacos, chili cheese fries, and a milkshake. eatrburgers.com
Tam’s Burgers: A combo box with a quarter-pound burger, two chicken tenders and fries runs $9, according to the chain’s website. tamsburgers.net
