The 45th annual Riverside “Messiah” Sing-in is scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Riverside Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Those who attend may listen or join in singing nine choruses from Handel’s “Messiah,” aided by a community chorus that will include members of the Raincross Master Chorale and accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra.
William Brakemeyer, a local organist and choral director, will direct the performance, and Clay Christiansen, Salt Lake Tabernacle organist emeritus, will play the 57-rank Henry Pilcher and Sons pipe organ, according to a news release.
Guest soloists are Jannene Lowry Swart, soprano; Barbara Dellenbach, alto; Morris F. Maduro, tenor; and David Stoneman, bass.
Admission is free. Vocal scores will be available on loan.
