Norco College, 2 others head back to school for fall semester

With Inland Empire children already back in school, it was time Monday, Aug. 19, for the last community college students to join them.

It was the first day of the fall semester at Norco College and the rest of the Riverside Community College District.

Students showed up Monday at Norco College ready to get back to the books. A resource fair was scheduled on campus for Tuesday, Aug. 20, and Wednesday, Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At Riverside City College, a welcome day drew more than 4,000 students and their families to the campus on Saturday, Aug. 17. Moreno Valley College, the third college in the district, also welcomed back students on Monday.

Other Inland community colleges have been back in session for a week.

Chaffey College, the San Bernardino Community College District and Mt. San Jacinto College all resumed classes Monday, Aug. 12., for fall.
