New in San Bernardino
There’s certainly no shortage of places to get boba drinks in north San Bernardino and now there’s one more as Hung Up on Cane recently opened at 4235 University Parkway, Suite 102.
It replaces the recently-closed LemonShark Poké — which also served boba drinks.
Besides a variety of fruity and milky teas, the shop also serves a trio of “mojitos” and snacks, including popcorn chicken, chicken wings, tornado potatoes and cotton candy.
Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
New in Riverside
Mountain Mike’s Pizza has opened its latest pizzeria in Riverside.
The new location, 17827 Van Buren Blvd., Suite 101, is open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m Friday through Sunday.
Also, the chain recently introduced three new wing flavors to create a limited-time “Taste for Adventure” menu.
Available through Nov. 30, the menu includes Sticky Kogi Wings, with a base of gochujang and soy sauce; Kickin’ Korean BBQ Wings, a fusion of smoky and savory flavors; and Zesty Aloha Wings, which blend sweet chili peppers with garlic.
The new flavors, available on boneless and bone-in wings, join Mike’s existing wing flavors: Frank’s RedHot Buffalo, KC Masterpiece BBQ and Stingin’ Honey Wings.
Burger happy hour
R Burgers has a new, limited-time $4 happy hour.
The menu, available from 2-5 p.m. weekdays, includes a cheeseburger, crispy chicken sandwich, four crunchy tacos, chili cheese fries and four shake varieties: Oreo, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry.
R Burgers locations include Riverside, Redlands, Moreno Valley and Ontario.
Help fight hunger, get a taco
Del Taco is helping raise funds for No Kid Hungry, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America.
Through Oct. 2, guests can donate $1 (or more) at the register at participating locations and receive a coupon for a free The Del Taco, valid on a future visit.
Fall treat
We know fall is all about pumpkin spice everything, but Portillo’s is going a little extra.
The Chicago street food purveyor recently introduced its first new cake flavor in 20 years: Salted Caramel Spice Cake.
