Cars, Coffee and Warbirds event to salute veterans in Riverside

Veterans will be honored during a Saturday, Sept. 14, event at the Riverside Municipal Airport.

The free Cars, Coffee and Warbirds event is sponsored by the Commemorative Air Force, Inland Empire Wing. It will begin at 8 a.m.

A car show will start the day at the airport’s Hangar S. Veterans will be recognized at 10 a.m. All veterans who attend will be saluted during the Armed Forces Medley. Those who make a reservation will receive a memento.

The Stars & Scrappers Quilts of Valor Group will present quilts of valor to six veterans touched by war. They are Edward Cleveland, Ron Rutz, Henry Vaca, Mike Vitatoe, Charles Woodard and James Cassaro.
