Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop will open in Riverside on Wednesday, Dec. 4

The city of Riverside will get its own Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

The Las Vegas-based quick service chain previously had restaurants in Eastvale and Moreno Valley, but not in between.

The shop is in Lowe’s Plaza at 9867 Magnolia Ave., about a half mile from the Galleria at Tyler.

The opening is timely because Capriotti’s is known for slow-roasting turkeys in-house, according to a news release. One of its signature sandwiches is the Bobbie, made with turkey, cranberry sauce and stuffing.

Another is the Capastrami, made with hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing and coleslaw.

The menu also includes several cheesesteaks, Wagyu beef, vegetarian sandwiches, salads and soup.

Sandwiches range from a “rookie” 5 inches to a “notorious” 18 inches, according to the chain’s website.
