The eighth Horse Town Brew n’ Que Festival, a barbecue competition with live music, car show, children’s activities and more, will be held noon-7 p.m. June 1 at the George Ingalls Equestrian Event Center, 3737 Crestview Drive, Norco.
More than 50 barbecue teams are scheduled to compete in the event, which is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society, according to a news release. In addition to adult pro and backyard competitions, there will be a Junior Que competition for ages 6 to 16.
Brew n’ Que also offers craft beer sampling, a classic car show, a rock-climbing wall, a petting zoo and arts and crafts, and attendees may vote for their favorite craft beer or barbecue.
Live entertainment will include Lakeside, Brad Johnson and the Killin’ Time, the Paul Chense Band and Ray Brooks and the Bluzmasters, according to the news release.
Preceding the Brew n’ Que Festival, there will be a “Meat and Greet” event 6-9:30 p.m. May 31, with James Beard Award winner Adrian Miller anchoring a panel discussion.
