Dine 909: Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, more restaurants open in Norco

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has opened its fourth Inland Empire location.

The location at 3541 Hamner Ave., Norco, is its first Riverside County location.

Hours are 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Norco location, which opened in late July, joins those in Victorville, Barstow and Fontana.

Freddy’s isn’t the only new restaurant in Norco.

While driving through town, I saw several new eateries.

A new Chinese restaurant, Chopstix Express, opened earlier this summer at 1845 Hamner Ave., Suite A, replacing coffee, doughnut and fried chicken purveyor Birdies.

Hours are 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. daily.

Two new eateries were also spotted in the Hidden Valley Plaza shopping center.

Par 3 Sports Bar & Grill opened at 490 Hidden Valley Parkway, Suite 103.

At one point, the spot, formerly Twisted Gourmet, was set to become Chophouse 363, but that never came to fruition (and the original Chino location closed).

The smallish menu includes burgers, wings, salads, steaks, fish and chips and pastrami tacos.

Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-midnight Friday and 9 a.m.-midnight Saturday and Sunday.

Lupe’s Cocina & Cantina opened in May at 510 Hidden Valley Parkway, Suite 101.

The restaurant offers typical Mexican fare, including seafood entrées.

Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Another Mexican restaurant, Taco Town U.S.A., has opened in Horsetown, U.S.A.

The restaurant, 3699 Hamner Ave., Suite H, offers tacos, burritos and tortas filled with meats, along with quesadillas, taquitos and loaded fries. Veggie options are available.

Breakfast is available until 11 a.m. (though chilaquiles are available all day), and menudo is available on Saturday and Sunday.

Fresh juices, shakes and smoothies are also offered.

Hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily, except Friday when the restaurant is open 9 a.m.-midnight.

Le Rendez-Vous returns

Good news for fans of former Colton restaurant Le Rendez-Vous Cafe, which closed in June.

The restaurant has completed its move and will open Thursday, Aug. 15 in Lake Elsinore.

It’s at 123 N. Main St., formerly home to Felix’s BBQ with Soul.

The restaurant was originally located in San Bernardino, but changed owners and moved to Colton in 2015.

Hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

All you can eat

A trio of restaurants are offering all-you-can-eat deals for a limited time.

All-you-can-eat pancakes are available at both Denny’s and IHOP.

Denny’s are served as an initial three-stack of flapjacks, with the rest delivered in stacks of two. Price and participation vary.
