Coffee cart teaches job skills to Corona students with special needs

The Rolling Beans coffee cart has a special purpose.

The cart, which marked its grand opening last week, is run by students in the Adult Transition Class at Orange Grove High School, an alternative school in Corona.

Each Monday, the cart brings coffee, tea and pastries to employees at the Corona-Norco Unified School District offices in Norco.

The Adult Transition Program teaches life skills to students with special needs as they enter adulthood.

“This initiative not only fosters independence and confidence but also provides invaluable opportunities to develop vital vocational, customer service and money management skills,” teacher Wendy Quintana said in a district news release.

“We are incredibly proud of our students and dedication to embracing new challenges while positively impacting their community.”
