The duo Brooks & Dunn returned to the Mane Stage on day three of the Stagecoach Country Music Festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio in 2023, marking 13 years since the country icons last performed at Stagecoach. They previously played the inaugural festival in 2007 and returned as part of their Last Rodeo Tour, making Stagecoach one of their final performances as a duo.
The group is known for the megahit “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” recorded by Asleep at the Wheel in 1990. The tune is credited with helping revive line dancing in honky tonk bars across America and is still a popular country track today.
