Students and residents of a Murrieta memory care home enjoyed a play day with artificial snow.
But the fun and comradery between the two groups was authentic.

Smiles were visible all around Thursday, Jan. 16, as homeschooled students visited Vineyard Place for a winter festival.
Students from Our Lady of Fatima Home School visited the center, where a snow machine set the stage for the event.
Residents watched as the Murrieta students took part in a snowball fight. Students also played in the faux snow with Vineyard Place residents. Arts and crafts sessions completed the activity.
“Our goal is to create a magical and intergenerational winter wonderland where children, seniors and the community come together to celebrate the joy of the season,” Christopher Balmes, life engagement director for Vineyard Place, said in a news release before the event. “We expect the two generations to create lasting memories and new friendships.”
