Murrieta Birthday Bash marks the city’s 33rd year

Murrieta’s annual Birthday Bash had it all.

Food, fireworks — and firefighters hosing down the crowd on a hot summer afternoon.

That’s how the southwest Riverside County city celebrated its 33rd anniversary Saturday, June 29.

The event at California Oaks Sports Park stretched from mid-afternoon until the smoke from an early fireworks show cleared after 9 p.m.

The bash also included live music and kid’s activity zone.

“We are connected by community,” Murrieta City Manager Kim Summers said in a news release. “Our Birthday Bash is an event that captures the essence of what is so wonderful about Murrieta.”
