The Rotary Club of Moreno Valley will serve its annual community Thanksgiving dinner Tuesday, Nov. 26, in the hall at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Moreno Valley.
This is the 50th consecutive year the club has provided the free turkey dinner, with side dishes and pumpkin pie, intended as a treat for those who might not otherwise be able to have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. In past years, the club has served between 300 and 400 people at the dinner, according to a news release.
The Valley View High School Madrigal Choir will provide entertainment, and about 30 Scouts and members of Rotary high school Interact clubs will help with serving, set-up and clean-up.
Rotary Club members will each donate a cooked and carved turkey and a pie, and they will staff the serving process.
Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, at 13300 Indian St., has donated the use of its hall for all the Rotary Club Thanksgiving dinners over the past 50 years, according to the news release.
Serving hours are 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
