Two more eateries are coming to Renaissance Marketplace in Rialto.
Cava and Handel’s Ice Cream are coming soon to a newly-constructed building on the eastern edge of the center, near Grocery Outlet.
It’ll be the fourth Inland Empire location for Mediterranean chain Cava, following those in Chino Hills, Rancho Cucamonga and a recently-opened location in Moreno Valley (see below).
Handel’s Ice Cream currently has eight Inland Empire locations: Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside, Eastvale, Temecula, Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indio.
Now in Moreno Valley
The Inland Empire’s third Cava location has opened in Moreno Valley.
The new location is at 12510 Day St., Suite A3, replacing an Ahipoki location.
Hours are 10:45 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.
New in Fontana
Fontana’s third Jersey Mike’s Subs opens this week.
The new shop, 15270 Summit Ave., opens Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Vouchers — valid Oct. 2-6 — have been distributed that allow guests to receive a free sub with a $3 or more donation to Falcon Ridge Elementary School. Guests must have the voucher to receive the deal.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Also new in Fontana
Wing Zone will celebrate the grand opening of its latest Inland Empire location Thursday, Oct. 3.
The chain will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. at the location at 16232 Foothill Blvd., Suite B, Fontana.
There will be food specials all day, along with prizes.
Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The chain also has a Redlands location.
New in Chino
Açai Republic will hold its grand opening of its Chino location on Saturday, Oct. 5.
The smoothie, pastry, juice and açai bowl purveyor’s newest shop is opening at 3935 Grand Ave, Suite E.
The shop is offering 50% off all day, and beginning at 10 a.m., the first 50 customers will receive a $50 gift card and a T-shirt.
The next 50 customers will receive a free T-shirt.
The new location joins those in Corona and Pomona.
Hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.
Now in Temecula
85°C Bakery Cafe is now open in Temecula.
The Taiwanese bakery can be found in the Tower Plaza Center, at 27473 Ynez Road.

The Rally’s formerly at 1150 N. Waterman Ave., San Bernardino, has closed.
The restaurant opened in 2021.
The city has two remaining Rally’s locations: 494 S. Mount Vernon Ave. and 170 E. 40th St.
Another restaurant is reportedly in the works on the southeast corner of Highland and Palm avenues, but it doesn’t appear that construction has yet begun.
