Lake Elsinore Storm brings ‘Prom Night’ to the ballpark

Baseball bats, gloves, stadium food and … a prom queen?

All were seen Friday night, May 31, at the Lake Elsinore Storm’s first Prom Night.

Minor league baseball games have long been known for zany promotions. And the scene at The Diamond stadium delivered.

The stadium’s front gate featured limousines and a red carpet. There was a photo station, dancing and an elected Storm king and queen.

While many fans donned Storm caps, those who put on their best prom attire walked away with a buy-one, get-one free card for a future ballgame.

And speaking of the game, the Storm beat the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 8-7.
