Man shot to death in Hemet; no word on suspect or arrest

Hemet police are investigating the shooting death of a man that happened on Saturday, Oct. 5.

No arrests had been announced or suspect description made public as of Monday afternoon. No one at the department could be reached for additional details.

The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 800 block of W. Florida Avenue. Police responding to reports of gunshots found the man dead, the Police Department said in a news release.

The victim’s name has not been made public.
