The driver of a car that Corona police said was speeding died when he collided with another car on Monday, July 8, the Police Department said.
The collision between a BMW M3 and a Jeep Grand Cherokee happened at 10:22 a.m. in the 1200 block of Hidden Valley Parkway.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears the BMW was traveling at a high rate of speed on Hidden Valley Parkway and lost control, colliding into the Jeep Cherokee,” a police Facebook post said. “Currently it is unknown if alcohol or drugs are a factor in the collision.”
The BMW driver, who was the only person in the car, died. Four people in the Jeep were treated for minor injuries.
Police ask anyone with information on the collision contact Officer Scott Cocke at 951-817-5773 or Scott.Cocke@Coronaca.gov.
