Two fast-food chains are offering customers freebies and perks during the holiday season.
Jack in the Box is offering its Jack Pack rewards members free food with each purchase through Christmas Eve.
Every day, the chain is offering a different freebie with a minimum purchase of $1.
Giveaways include onion rings, a Jumbo Jack burger, two tacos, a Biscoff shake, Jr. Chicken sandwich, an order of French fries and four chicken nuggets.
A daily $1 fountain drink is also part of the deal.
The free items are available for online and app orders only.
The Jack in the Box app is available for iOS and Android.
Meanwhile, Burger King has launched an explorable virtual holiday village in its app and is offering a mix of daily free food and bonus perks through Dec. 31.
Upcoming deals include a free soft drink, a free cheeseburger and a free medium iced coffee (with $1 minimum purchase); bonus rewards crowns; and free delivery with a $5 purchase.
The chain is also doing a merch drop on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The Burger King app is available for iOS and Android.
New in Rancho Cucamonga
A new Asian food restaurant has opened in Rancho Cucamonga.
As one might surmise from the name, Dumpling Artisan offers a variety of soup, steamed and pan-fried dumplings, along with appetizers and noodle and rice dishes.
Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
Dumpling Artisan is at 8409 Haven Ave.
Now open
Twozone Chicken has opened in Chino Hills.
The restaurant specializes in Korean fried chicken.
Hours are 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 5-8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. Friday; 11:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday; and 11:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Sunday.
It joins another Twozone Chicken in Hesperia.
Hannah’s no more
The former Hannah’s Restaurant at 1355 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino, has a new name.
The restaurant is now Global Cuisine, offering a variety of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, European and American dishes.
Lunch specials are available, starting at $9.99. Veggie options are also available.
Hours are noon-5 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and noon-9 p.m. Saturday.
Rosa Maria’s expands
Rosa Maria’s has opened a drive-thru location in Hesperia.
It’s the first drive-thru for the Mexican food chain, which also has locations in San Bernardino, Highland, Redlands and Fontana.
The restaurant is at 15471 Bear Valley Road.
Hours are 9 a.m.-7 p.m. daily.
Brewery update
Strum Brewing Co. in downtown Ontario will be temporarily closed this week to finalize transfer of ownership to the new owners.
The brewery will reopen in time for the city’s Holiday Light Parade and Tree Lighting this weekend.

Brew fest update
Congratulations to the organizers of the Amber Waves of Grain beer festival, held in November at The Shops at Dos Lagos in Corona.
The event raised $62,000, which was distributed to about 40 Inland Empire veterans organizations at a ceremony earlier this week at Stone Church Brewing in Corona.
