Chick-fil-A opens in San Bernardino this week.
The new shop, 4312 N. Varsity Ave., opens at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24.
It’s the second eatery to open at the University Crossings project, which also includes Panera Bread and Dutch Bros Coffee, which opened recently.
Open 6:30 a.m.-midnight Monday through Saturday, the new restaurant also features Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru designed for speedy pick-up of online orders.
As a part of the restaurant’s opening, the restaurant will be giving back.
The restaurant will honor 100 local heroes with free entrées for a year.
Chick-fil-A is donating $25,000 to Feeding America, which has a food bank supporting the Inland Empire.
The new restaurant plans to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, redirecting surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, and food banks.
