The Friends of the Corona Public Library will host the library’s first ReaderCon, a book festival for children and teens, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Sept. 28 at the library, 650 S. Main St.
The event will feature authors discussing their books with children and teens. Keynote speaker is Georgeanne Irvine of the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, and others scheduled to attend are Jennifer Gray Olson, Kim Dwinell, Thu Buu, Tamika Burgess, Wyatt Johnson, Katrina Emmel, James Luna, Jenna Lettice, Angelique Collis, Susie Duffin and Chris Kueng, according to an event flyer.
Activities for teens include a panel discussion with several authors on how they got their start and an author-illustrator panel. Children’s activities include storytimes and crafts, and there will be book giveaways.
The event is presented in partnership with the Corona Public Library, and admission is free.
