John was born and raised in Baltimore, but has lived in several other states including places he lived in while in the military and places he chose to live after being discharged from the Navy. An avid writer in school, John had written nothing for many years before deciding to "pick up the pen" again, so to speak. His wife is Marlene and they live in Hemet, California with their three dogs, Hachie and Belle, and Elvis aka little man.
