Comic book creators, cosplay fans and anime enthusiasts came together recently for the Nerdz and Hip Hop Mini-Con.
The Sunday, Jan. 19, event was the first comics- or anime-themed convention at the Moreno Valley Mall, Joshua Brown, founder of Nerdz and Hip Hop Community, wrote in an email.
The convention featured independent comic creators, rap performances, vendors and fans. There were also cosplay contests, gaming stations, anime beat competitions and themed cars.
