Dine 909: Left Coast Brewing Co., Chick-fil-A open in Ontario

Left Coast Brewing Co. has opened its first Inland Empire location.

The San Clemente-based brewery opened a new brewpub at 980 N. Haven Ave., Suite 100, Ontario.

Food options include appetizers, including fried pickles and loaded fries; salads; sliders; macaroni and cheeses; sandwiches, including a cheesesteak and a Reuben; and sides.

In addition to beer and a selection of hard seltzers, the eatery offers a cocktail menu.

Hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday.

Note that the kitchen closes an hour before closing time.

Also, Ontario’s third Chick-fil-A has opened.

The new location, 1860 E. G St., joins existing ones on the outskirts of Ontario Mills and in Ontario International Airport’s Terminal 4.

Hours are 6:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Baker’s goes big

Baker’s Drive-Thru recently introduced new, oversized burritos.

The Inland Empire-based chain’s double stuffed grilled burritos come in four varieties:

Chili fry burrito: ground beef, French fries, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions and sour cream.

Ground beef burrito: ground beef, rice, shredded cheddar cheese, guacamole, diced tomatoes and salsa.

Grilled steak burrito: diced steak, rice, shredded cheddar cheese, guacamole, diced tomatoes and salsa.

Grilled chicken burrito: diced steak, rice, shredded cheddar cheese, guacamole, diced tomatoes and salsa.

The new burritos — which the chain boasts weigh more than a pound — cost $11.79 by themselves or $13.78 in a combo with a 20-ounce drink.

They are available for a limited time.

Beer-pairing dinner

Reservations are available now for the next BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse beer-pairing dinner, set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 3.

The dinner will highlight hazy India Pale Ales, featuring BJ’s Zany Zitrus Hazy IPA.

The menu is as follows.

Welcome Beer: Goose Island Hazy Beer Hug IPA

Course 1: Oskar Blues Hazy Blues Juicy IPA paired with onion rings with sriracha aioli

Course 2: Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing IPA paired with a honey crisp chicken salad

Palate cleanser: Will vary by location

Course 3: New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juicy Haze IPA paired with chicken tortilla soup

Course 4: BJ’s Zany Zitrus Hazy IPA paired with fresh Atlantic salmon with rice pilaf and garlic-roasted vegetables

Course 5: Stone Delicious Hazy IPA paired with a mini white chocolate macadamia nut Pizookie

Note that some locations may offer substitutes for the garlic-roasted vegetables and the Pizookie.

The Victorville location has already sold out.

The cost is $45 in advance, and will be $50 the day of, if available. The cost for designated drivers is $30 in advance, and $35 day of.

Famous Pudn has shuttered its brick-and-mortar location in Murrieta.

The business will still offer its banana puddings and other desserts at several outdoor markets and fairs, including Made Local Market Menifee and Corona, farmer’s markets in Old Town Temecula and Old Town Murrieta and the Temecula Sunset market.

Any outstanding gift cards will be accepted at any of the market events.
