A vegetation fire broke out Monday evening, Jan. 20, in Hemet amid strong Santa Ana winds across the region.
The Chambers fire was reported around 6 p.m. in the area of Chambers and Gilbert streets, an area south of Highway 74, according to Watch Duty, a nonprofit that tracks fire activity.
Watch Duty reports the fire was moving towards Domenigoni Parkway, and law enforcement was requested for a closure and traffic control.
Information on acreage, containment, potential injuries and potential structure threats and evacuations was not immediately available.
