Temecula’s free Community Christmas Dinner marks 30 years

Temecula’s Community Christmas Dinner continued its long tradition Wednesday, Dec. 25, marking 30 years of serving up a holiday meal for anyone who needs one.

Free dinners were offered on Christmas Day in the cafe at Mt. San Jacinto College’s Temecula Valley Campus. Members of local Rotary clubs and volunteers served the hot meals.

Guests got to sit down and enjoy a feast that included ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables and dessert.

“This is for anyone who wants a place to go on Christmas Day,” Mark Sitar, chair of the event, said in a news release. “It is a simple concept that touches people throughout our community.”
