Adam Bouvet, co-owner of The Mill Restaurant in Murrieta, dies in Texas accident

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family of Adam Bouvet, who died after a traffic accident in Dallas.

Bouvet was co-owner of The Mill Restaurant, one of the oldest businesses in Old Town Murrieta.

He was struck by a vehicle while walking with family members, according to a Facebook post by his wife Tracy.

She wrote that she was knocked down in the incident and believes that Adam Bouvet saved his family’s lives.

The GoFundMe page was set up on Sunday, while he was hospitalized with what Tracy Bouvet described as severe brain damage. It had the goal of raising $200.000. At press time, it had raised more than $134,000.

A post about his death on The Mill’s Facebook page, published on Monday, Oct. 28, drew expressions of shock and condolence from friends and customers.

The Mill, 24690 Washington Ave., specializes in pizza, pasta and sandwiches. It was founded in 1996 by Dirk Westfall. Adam Bouvet was his longtime general manager business partner.

After Westfall’s death in 2009, it was co-owned by Adam Bouvet and the Westfall family.
