They raised awareness of breast cancer in several ways.
They walked up Riverside’s Mount Rubidoux. They strolled around a park. And they checked out classic cars.
It was the 13th annual Pink on Parade, organized by the Riverside Community Health Foundation to support The Pink Ribbon Place, a Riverside breast cancer resource center.
The Saturday, Oct. 26, walk began at Ryan Bonaminio Park in downtown.

“Seeing so many people unite for a cause larger than themselves fosters a foundation of compassion that helps carry survivors, patients and their families forward with hope,” Shené Bowie-Hussey, president/CEO of the foundation, said in a news release.
The event included a pet parade — with many participants clad in pink — and the symbolic release of doves during a “survivor celebration” that honored those fighting cancer, recognized survivors and remembered those who have died.
