Kings Brewing Co. is leaving its home of eight-plus years.
The Rancho Cucamonga brewery’s last day at the old place — 8560 Vineyard Ave., Unit 301 — will be Sunday, Oct. 13.
The abrupt move was prompted by ongoing issues with its landlord.
Through Sunday, the brewery is offering discounts on pints and drinks to-go, with pints as low as $5 and to-go cans starting at $6.
Hours will be 3-11 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10; 3 p.m.-midnight Friday, Oct. 11; noon-midnight Saturday, Oct. 12; and 1-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13.
A going away party is planned for Saturday, Oct. 12.
Work will continue at Kings’ offsite production facility, providing brews for local restaurants and bars including BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in Rancho Cucamonga and Eureka! in Ontario.
Canned beers will also be available via the brewery’s website, www.kingsbrewingco.com.
Updates can be found on Kings’ Instagram page: www.instagram.com/kingsbrewingco.
Riverside reopening
A decades-old Wienerschnitzel in Riverside has reopened following a remodeling.
The remodel enclosed the former drive-thru of the A-frame structure at 3695 Central Ave.
The drive-thru lane now wraps around the building. The restaurant still lacks indoor dining.
New in Fontana
Apparently hot chicken is still a thing. There’s a new shop in Fontana.
Chubby’s Hot Chicken has opened at 17264 Foothill Blvd., Suite M.
The location appears to be the former home of Sabor Yucateco, which is now in Rialto.
Hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Coming to San Bernardino
The saga of former San Bernardino Rally’s drive-thru has a new chapter.
Construction began on the ’80s-era restaurant back in 2021 to reopen it as a Rally’s again.
Work continued sporadically for the next few years.
A few months ago, fencing came down from around the building and signage was removed.
Recently, new construction and banners went up indicating that Charleys Cheesesteaks was coming soon to 996 W. Highland Ave.
Drink beer, help shelter pets
Barktoberfest comes to Riverside on Saturday, Oct. 12.

The event will take place from noon-4 p.m. at White Park, 3901 Market St.
General admission tickets are $55 and include 1 p.m. entry and unlimited tastings. VIP tickets ($75) include admission at noon, a souvenir tasting glass, access to a VIP seating area and a Barktoberfest bottle opener keychain.
