Questionnaires may have been edited for spelling, grammar, length and, in some instances, to remove hate speech and offensive language.

How can the school district best meet the needs of all students, including those learning English, those who need mental health service, those in special education programs and those from low-income backgrounds?
I believe that our approach should focus on three specific areas: Student safety, parental involvement and academic excellence. When we prioritize these, our students will succeed.
Some school districts have adopted transgender notification policies to notify parents if a student says they are transgender. If your district has such a policy, do you support or oppose it? Why? If yours does not, would you support or oppose such rules? Why?
Policies already exist to get ALL of our students the help they need, and isolating a specific demographic is more of a political distraction than a student-care strategy. I do not support the policy.
What is the biggest issue the school district faces, and how would you address it?
We need to empower our children to succeed by providing them with a quality education free of political influence. We cannot afford to be distracted and must focus on the statistics and solutions.
Why would you make a good leader, and how would you represent the diverse communities within the school district?
I’ve literally earned my stripes in the Marines and worked my entire life to lead by example and represent those I’ve led with dignity and respect. I’m Hispanic and am honored to represent my people.
