Bushfire Kitchen opens in Riverside’s Canyon Crest

Bushfire Kitchen will open Monday, Sept. 30, in Riverside’s Canyon Crest Towne Centre.

The Del Mar-based chain of fast casual restaurants specializes in nutritious, from-scratch comfort foods made with premium meats and locally sourced produce, according to a news release.

The restaurant is at 5225 Canyon Crest Drive, Suite 92, in the shopping center’s food court. The space was most recently Lenoir’s Bistro & Bakery, which closed in 2023.

Customers order at the counter, and there is indoor and outdoor seating for 72 diners, the news release said.

The menu includes burgers, sandwiches, bowls and salads. Prices range from $12-$24.

Specialties include tri-tip with housemade chimichurri, a Thai Chicken Curry Bowl and seasonal vegetables served in a plate, bowl or as a side.

Bushfire Kitchen is also known for its empanadas, made with beef, chicken or veggies. There is also an empanada of the month. It is currently pumpkin.

Beverages include housemade lemonade, Stubborn sodas, wine and beer.

Happy hour 2-5 daily includes specials on shareables, such as chicken quesadillas for $8.95 and an empanada trio for $11.95, as well as half off wine and beer.

This is Bushfire’s eighth location. Four are in Riverside County, including Temecula, Menifee and Eastvale. Two are in San Diego County, in Carlsbad and La Costa. There is one each in San Bernardino and Orange counties, in Rancho Cucamonga and Mission Viejo.

The opening comes a month after Hangar 24 opened a taproom in the shopping center.
