A handful of restaurants have opened recently (or are opening soon) in Ontario.
The newly rebuilt and expanded In-N-Out Burger at 1891 E. G St., off Vineyard Avenue, is set to open at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23.
The location now has indoor seating.
Hours will be 10:30 a.m.-1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m.-1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Bobo Cha Bar, which specializes in boba tea drinks along with other treats, including macarons and panna cotta, opened recently in the New Haven Marketplace at 3410 E. Ontario Ranch Road, Suite 1.
It replaces Koio, another tea shop.
Hours are noon-9 p.m. daily.
Taqueria 2 Potrillos continues to expand in the Inland Empire, with the latest location opening in The Collection at 980 N. Haven Ave., Suite 170.
A grand opening celebration is set for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and live mariachi music.
The Mexican restaurant is open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday.
The new location joins those in Riverside, Rialto, Corona, Moreno Valley, Perris and Montclair.
San Pedro’s Seafood Trays has expanded into a chain with the opening of a new location at 1517 N. Baker Ave.
The restaurant offers, well, trays of seafood. Options include shrimp, clams, mussels, lobster, crab, octopus, crawfish and more.
Sides include corn on the cob, rice, veggies, potatoes and garlic bread.
Hours appear to be noon-7 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
The original location remains at 2055 N. Perris Blvd., Suite A7, Perris.

Changes in Claremont
Fellow columnist David Allen emailed me last month to let me know that the former Sammy’s Cafe in Claremont had closed and that there was a banner on the building indicating a new restaurant was hiring.
Several days later, he emailed me again to tell me the restaurant had opened.
The Corner Grill & Bakery offers American and Mexican food favorites for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Baked goods include pies, cakes, muffins, bagels and quiches.
The Corner Grill & Bakery is at 701 S. Indian Hill Blvd.
Hours are 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
New in San Bernardino
As I left John Weeks’ memorial gathering on Saturday, I noticed a new restaurant just down the street from the San Bernardino Historical and Pioneer Society.
Noah’s Restaurant & Banquet Room is at 863 N. D St., San Bernardino.
The restaurant offers a mix of American, Mexican and Italian fare.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, and $11.99 lunch specials are available from noon to 3 p.m.

Sorry, we’re closed
Visitors to Riverside’s City Hall are lamenting the closure of the Brandon’s Diner Jr. there.
The location struggled to attract customers post-pandemic since many City Hall employees were now working from home and no longer going into the office, according to a Facebook post.
Thanks to reader Dave for the heads up.
