The minor-league team sported brown-and-yellow uniforms featuring Riverside’s iconic raincross symbol on Friday, Aug. 9, as it faced the San Jose Giants at San Manuel Stadium in San Bernardino.
Players also will wear them Saturday, Aug. 10, team spokesperson Steve Wendtsaid.
“We’re the Inland Empire team, and there’s no doubt that Riverside is the crown jewel of the Inland Empire,” Wendt said. “And the raincross is definitely the symbol of Riverside.”
The raincross is featured on architecture throughout Riverside, including spots in downtown, at the historic Mission Inn Hotel & Spa as well as on streetlights and bridges.
Players’ jerseys featured “Riverside” across the front with the raincross on the sleeve and cap.
