Sheriff’s Department says narcotics, firearm seized in Lake Elsinore

A 46-year-old man and other suspects were arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics and firearms after authorities noticed drug paraphernalia inside a white sedan in Lake Elsinore, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced Thursday, July 4.

Deputies from the Lake Elsinore station noticed paraphernalia in plain sight in the car and conducted a vehicle search, department officials said. This occurred in the 31800 block of Railroad Canyon Road in Canyon Lake at 8 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.

A loaded firearm, narcotics and evidence of narcotic sales were found, according to authorities.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, the driver was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center with bail set at $70,000. An undisclosed number of other arrestees were also booked in the Murrieta detention center.
